For Indian students studying design and architecture degrees, the AICTE Swanath Scholarship is an annual scholarship. The scholarship applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme in architecture, interior design, town planning or landscape architecture at an accredited Indian institution of higher learning. The prize will go to a student who exhibits brilliance in the fields of design and architecture. The All India Council for Technical Education has developed a programme to assist candidates who are struggling financially to finish their courses.

Objective for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2023
To ensure that orphans, wards of victims of Covid-19 wards of slain members of the Armed Forces, and wards of Central Paramilitary Forces can pursue their education without obstacles the AICTE is putting into place a programme to assist and develop these groups. With the help of AICTE approved institutions and programmes, we hope to provide all children in this situation the opportunity to further their education and get ready for an excellent future.
Benefits for AICTE Swanath Scholarship 2023
The benefits of this scholarship is given below:
- The applicant would get a lump sum payment of Rs. 50000 each year to cover college expenses as well as the cost of computers, stationery, books, equipment, software and other items. No further compensation would be provided in place of expenses like hostel fees and medical bills etc.
- Scholarships will be given to degree seeking students for a period of four years and to diploma seeking students for a period of three years.
- The length of the scholarship will be shortened to 3/2/1 year if the student is presently enrolled in the second, third or fourth year of a degree programme.
- The scholarship will only last for two years if the student is enrolled in the second or third year of a diploma programme.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of this scholarship is given below:
- The candidate must either be orphaned or have experienced the death of both parents as a result of COVID-19 aur ward of the armed forces and Central paramilitary forces slain in battle.
- The applicant’s family’s total annual income should not exceed Rs.8 lakh.
- The candidate must be registered in programmes and institutions that are recognised by AICTE.
- The applicant should not have previously received any scholarships provided by the central, state or AICTE governments.
Required Documents
The required documents of this scholarship is given below:
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL), if the parent’s deaths were brought on by martyrdom.
- Military/Focal Paramilitary Powers granted Saint Authentication.
- Legally valid oath on Rs.100 stamp paper, citing the specifics as per the organisation connection.
- The Central Paramilitary Forces and Arm Forces wards were listed as martyrs on the action death certificate.
- Candidates whose parents die away due to COVID-19 should provide a death certificate with COVID-19 specifically listed as the reason for death.
- If one parent (father or mother) is still living, the current year’s income certificate proves unequivocally that the family’s income is less than 8 lakhs.
- For the diploma level, the 10+2/equivalent and the 10th grade mark sheet are appropriate.
- Certified Caste SC/ST/OBC-NCL Document
- The orphan candidate’s bona fide certificate from the institution.
- Both parent’s birth and death certificates.
- A notarized affidavit on stamp paper worth Rs. 100 that follows the format in the attachment.
