Assam DARPAN Portal 2023-24
The DARPAN portal will be used by several institutions throughout Assam to manage the admissions process for the Higher Secondary First Year Course for the academic year 2023-24. The gateway will be available for usage from May 29 until 17 June 2023. This information was released by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council AHSEC on Thursday.
According to the AHSEC, no institutions will conduct offline admissions. The registration period will start the first week of August 2023 for the academic year 2023-24. The registration process may only be performed by students who have successfully completed the admissions procedure using the DARPAN portal.

For students entering the Higher Secondary First Year Course for the academic year 2023-24 at various Assam institutions, the Assam DARPAN Portal has been put in place to simplify the admissions procedure.
Guidelines for Students
- Students were given the following instructions:
- A candidate must submit their application using the DARPAN Portal.
- Only one profile modification is permitted prior to the university’s application verification.
- A student may total no more than five 5 applications.
- Through the DARPAN portal, the students will have access to the published Selection List and Waiting List for admission into the first year of high school. The students will be notified of their choice through SMS.
- It is advised that students use their login ID on the site as soon as possible following the announcement of the Selection List to accept just one of the admission offers made by the university.
- Once the application has been granted, the student will not be permitted to change universities.
- In order for the admissions process to be finished the student must register in the relevant school within the specified time limit.
- The school in question must update this information on the portal that day if a student changes their preferred subjects or stream after being admitted.
Guidelines for Institutions
- Institutions were given the following instructions:
- The HS First Year program’s admissions must go through online verification, according to the institutions. The institution will not have the ability to validate applications once they are received.
- In order to determine who will be admitted to the first year of high school, the individual schools will compile a Selection List and Waiting List after confirming the applications.
- The website allows students to examine the admissions selection list and waiting list. The status of their admission will also be communicated to students through SMS.
- The institutions shall utilise the selected student’s institute login ID everyday during the admissions process, up until 17 June 2023, in addition to the applicants login information in case of termination once they have accepted the admission offer from the institutes. Should be selected is Confirm.
- In addition, this information needs to be updated on the portal on the day of admission by the concerned institute. An institute can only modify a student’s intended subject or stream at the time of admission with the student’s proper authorization.
- Students who accept the admission offer will have their admission confirmed by the university. It is advised that the institutions physically inspect the student’s documentation.
- You can take a student’s name off the list if they haven’t accepted the admission offer. From the waiting list, the institution may add names of new students.
