e-NAM Portal Farmer Registration Online
The National Agricultural Market (eNAM) is an all-India electronic portal for trading, which connects the existing APMC mandis to create a incorporated countrywide market for agricultural merchandise. Now individual farmers can apply online to register on the e-NAM portal at farmer enam.gov.in. By filling the enam online application form, farmers can register themselves as sellers, to sell their agricultural products.
The Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) is the premier group for executing ENAM under the aegis of the Central Government, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. The scheme will endorse consistency in agricultural marketing as different processes will be rationalized in incorporated markets. This includes eradicating information asymmetry between buyers and sellers and encouraging real-time price detection based on actual order and supply.
32 more Mandis to be Linked to e-NAM Portal
According to the Detailed Project Report (DPR) sent to the Center by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board (HSAMB), it is expected that, by the first quarter of 2021, more than 32 grain markets will be added to the e-NAM (Electronic National Agricultural Market) portal. So far, 81 mandis have been integrated through a single window service which was launched to strengthen agricultural marketing.
So we can say that now the total number of these e-NAM mandis will increase to 113, which will give better results. According to information received from the Chief Administrator of HSAMB, the new mandis include four from Bhiwani, three each from Gurugram, Faridabad and Yamunanagar, two each from Jhajjar, Ambala, and There are one mandi each in the districts of Fatehabad, and Palwal and Jind, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Hisar, Sirsa, Sonipat, Kaithal and Rohtak etc.
Objective of National Agricultural Market
As you know, farmers have problems with selling crops, they produce the crop! But where to sell it is a question in front of them! However till now, the crops of the farmers were bought and sold by the middlemen. To tackle this problem, the National Agricultural Market (E-Name) portal has been started by the Central Government. Farmers will be able to register themselves as sellers by filling the enam online application form to sell their agricultural products and get a fair price for their crops.
