Types of Ration Card
Every state government issues ration cards to its citizens based on their economic status to provide food grains and other facilities at a cheaper rate. Each state has a designated authority for this system, by which the ration card is issued to the applicants.
There are basically three types of ration cards prevalent all over India, through which many benefits are provided to the citizens. The details of Telangana Ration Card to be issued according to the need of citizens in Telangana are as follows: –
- APL Ration Card – This ration card is issued to families living below the poverty line, they are placed in the APL category. Citizens of Telangana can apply online for this ration card. This ration card is issued to families with monthly income above Rs 10,000.
- BPL Ration Card – This ration card is issued to families living below the poverty line. This ration card is issued to families with monthly income less than Rs 10,000.
- Antyodaya Ration Card {AAY} – Antyodaya Ration Card is issued to the poorest families, this ration card gets the most facilities. A family with a stable source of income does not fall into this category.
Benefits Due to COVID-19 Crises
Considering the rapid spread of COVID 19 in India, a nationwide lock-down has been decided. At present, the country’s economy is completely sluggish and no work is being done. After considering these facts, the Telangana State Government has decided to give the following benefits to the holders of white ration cards due to the current situation: –

Benefits of Having Ration Card
- This ration card is used to get discounted rations from PDS shops.
- People above 60 years of age who do not have a fixed income source of their own, can avail this ration card.
- This ration card can also be used as proof of address.
- One can avail many benefits of schemes provided by the government from time to time.
- This ration card can be used as a proof of identity.
- Older women and men, slum dwellers, landless laborers, rural artisans, craftsmen and laborers, rickshaw pullers, cobblers, potters etc. can avail this ration card.
Eligibility Criteria
To avail this scheme, you have to fulfill the given eligibility criteria as follows-
- All residents of Telangana are eligible to get ration card.
- All families will be issued ration cards according to their economic status.
- Applicants who want to apply for this ration card are required to be natives of Telangana.
- In case of a newly married couple, it is mandatory to cancel the name of the couple and their family card while applying for a new ration card.
- In the event of belonging to SC / ST, it is mandatory for you to have a government issued certificate to get APL ration card.
- The applicant should not have a ration card or FSC card, otherwise they will not be eligible for this ration card.
- Applicant is required to belong to EWS.
- An applicant who has an old ration card (expired card) can apply for a new one.

- First of all, you have to go to the official website of Department of consumer affairs, food & civil supplies. After this, the home page of the website will open in front of you.
- On the home page of the website, you have to click on the option of “FSC Search“. A new page will open in front of you.
- On this page, you need to click on the option of “FSC Application Search” from the drop-down menu of “Ration Card Search“. The next page will open in front of you.
- After this you have to enter “FSC Ref No” or “Ration Card No” or “Old Ration Card No” and click on the “Search” button.
- Now the information will be displayed in front of you.
Procedure to Check FSC Application Search
- First of all, you have to go to the official website of the Department of consumer affairs, food & civil supplies. After this, the home page of the website will open in front of you.
- On the home page of the website, you have to click on the option of “FSC Search“. A new page will open in front of you.
- On this page, you have to click on the “Ration Card Search” option and click on the tab of “FSC Search” from the drop-down menu.
- A new page will open in front of you, on this page you have to fill your Mee Seva number, the application number, and 10 digits mobile number by selecting your district.
- Now the FSC details will appear on your computer and mobile screen.
Check Ration Card District Wise Beneficiary List

- On the home page of the website, you have to click on the option of “Report“. A new page will open in front of you.
- On this page, you have to click on the option of “FSC Card Status Report” from the section of “Ration Card Report”. The next page will open in front of you.
- After this, you have to search for district name, office name, shop no and select them.

Track TS Ration Card Status Online
- First of all, you have to go to the official website of EPDS. After this, on the home page of the website in front of you.
- On the home page of the website, you have to click on the option of “FSC Search“.
- After this you have to click on the option of “Ration Cards Search”.
- After this, you have to click on the option of FSC Search. This form will open in front of you.
- In this form, you have to enter the details of the information asked, such as name, father/husband name, date of birth, gender, caste, and other information.
- After this you have to upload all the necessary documents.
- In the next step you have to select the FSC referee number or ration card number and district and click on the search button.
- Applicants can check the TS Ration Card Status approved or not.
