Gujarat Shramik Annapurna Yojana 2023 :- The Government of Gujarat had started Gujarat Shramik Annapurna Yojana in the year 2017 for the workers to get the nutritious food at a very low cost from the designated center. The laborer from Gujarat State working in construction sector will get the benefit under this scheme. The special thing about this scheme is that the workers are getting the benefits every day. Lakh of laborers from Gujarat State have benefited till now and lakh of laborers are going to take benefit of the scheme in future too. Gujarat Shramik Annapurna Yojana 2023
Earlier Gujarat Shramik Annapurna Yojana was launched by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, to provide a meal once a day for only Rs. 10, but the scheme was stopped due to the COVID impact. The present chief minister of Gujarat Shri Bhupendra Patel, launched a new version of the Scheme, in which all the construction workers will get a meal for Rs. 5/- once a day instead of Rs. 10. In this Scheme worker’sfamilies will also be included and they will also get the meal at Rs.5.

Objetives of Gujarat Shramik Annapurna Yojana
The objectives of the Scheme are as follows:
- Overall 10 lakh workers and their families will be benefited from this scheme by providing them nutritional food at only Rs. 5.
- To provide the benefit of this scheme to families of construction workers also.
- Earlier there were 119 centers available for food distribution,now there are 140 centers for food distribution.
- To provide proper food security to the construction workers.
Benefits & Features of Gujarat Shramik Annapurna Yojana
The benefits and features of the Scheme are as follows:
- Applicants will get nutrient and protein-rich meals to construction workers at a very low price of Rs. 5/- per meal.
- One-time protein-included food will be given to construction workers and their families at the food stall center.
- Construction workers and their family members will get food from the Food Stall center by showing them e-Nirman Cards.
- Those workers who don’t have e-Nirman cards can apply for e-Nirman cards.
- Workers will be able to get food for 15 days, by showing the registration slip.
- The food stall center will be set up where a minimum of 50 workers are working together.
Eligibility Criteria
Here are some of the conditions to get the benefit under this scheme:
- Workers must have e-Nirman card to get the benefit under the scheme.
- Workers who are residents of Gujarat state will only get benefits.
- Families of the Gujarat State are also eligible to get benefits under this Scheme.
What is e-Nirman Card
e-Nirman card was launched for unorganized sector/ construction workers with an aim of maximum registration and coverage even at rural level to provide benefits of welfare schemes like U-WIN, MA Card, Shramik Annapurna etc.
How to Apply for e-Nirman Card?
Please follow the below mentioned steps to apply for e-Nirman Card:
- Go to the Official Website of the e-Nirman card.
- Click on “Register Yourself”.
- Enter your Full Name, Aadhar Card Number, Gender, Birth Date, Mobile Number Email ID and create your password.
- Now click on the “Register” button.
- Note:After verifying your details, your card will be available to download and will be dispatched to your address after 15 days.
