Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of this scheme is given below:

Old Age Pension

Female applicants must be at least 58 years old while male applicants must be at least 65 years old. According to the revenue department’s report, the applicant’s total yearly income should not exceed Rs.60.000 which includes any income from a company, rentals or interest. In order to be eligible for this programme, applicants must own at least 2.5 acres of chahi land, at least 5 acres of barani land or 5 acres of land that is submerged in water.

Financial assistance to widows and destitute women

The applicant’s age must be under 50 for widows and 30 for unmarried women.The applicant’s yearly gross income, which includes business, rental and interest income must be Rs.60000 or less.

Financial assistance to dependent children

Only children under the age of 21 who have a deceased parent or parents who frequently leave the house or who have become physically or mentally unable to care for the family’s financial needs are eligible for this programme. The child’s age must be under 21 and the family’s total annual income including business, rental and interest income must not exceed Rs 60,000.

Financial assistance to persons with disability

Only citizens with a handicap of at least 50% will be eligible for this programme. People with mental disabilities are also eligible to benefit from this programme. The applicant’s total annual income including any income from a business, rentals or interest should not exceed Rs 60,000.

Indira Gandhi National old-age pension scheme

The minimum age to apply for the programme is 60 years old and only candidates who fall into the category of those who live in poverty may do so. Persons included in the 2011 socio economic caste census are also eligible for this program’s benefits.

Indira Gandhi National widow pension scheme
