Telangana Chenetha Maggam Scheme 2023
The Telangana State handloom minister celebrated National Handloom Day by giving a unique present to the state’s weavers. Handloom Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao made the announcement about this yojana on 7 August 2023, which is Handloom Day. This scheme will give the machines used by all of Telangana State’s handloom weavers a fresh appearance. The replacement of every outdated machine with a new one will occur. Also receiving Identity Cards from the government are handloom weavers.
In accordance with this scheme, every machine will be replaced at a cost of Rs. 38,000. A 5 lakh payment would be made within 10 days to the family of a handloom craftsman who passes away for whatever cause. Production will thus increase as will quality. Along with that, handloom weavers will receive an identity card, and the ex gratia payment for weaver members would increase to Rs.25,000 from Rs.12,500.
