Odisha Mission Shakti
On 8 March 2001, the Odisha Mission Shakti Scheme was introduced by the state government. The state’s women will get financial assistance through this scheme in exchange for their participation in self help organisations and federations.Through this scheme, the ladies will be connected to the financial institution. Through the self help group women will be able to get institutional credit which will allow them to pursue self employment.
Odisha Inter Caste Marriage Scheme
The scheme will provide several types of financial assistance in the form of seed money Mission Shakti loans and revolving funding.The government will form a strategic cooperation with the banking industry in order to provide hassle free financial services to self help group members on all levels.This scheme will give women more economic power. The Directorate of Mission Shakti has been established under the Department of Women’s and Child Development and Mission Shakti to provide adequate oversight and execution of this scheme.
The Odisha Shakti Scheme will be extended by the state cabinet for an additional five years on 08 May, 2022. The government has set up Rs 4973.39 crore in funding to carry out this scheme. The Odisha Shakti scheme will now run until the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
