The Cattle Health Card has been launched by the Jagan Mohan Reddy government of Andhra Pradesh to look after the cattle of the farmers. The scheme will benefit all the families identified through the Census of Animals and can apply for AP Cattle Health Card Scheme. The state government is expected to issue the AP Cattle Health Card by the end of this year. A roadmap has been prepared to implement this scheme through 11,158 Routh Trust Centers to be built in the state. Apart from this, the state government will also take the help of self-help groups for the implementation of this scheme.

AP Cattle Health Card Scheme
The state government has already conducted a survey to launch the Cattle Health Card Scheme. In this survey, data has been prepared for those farmers who are earning income solely through animal husbandry. All such farmers, whose main source of income is animal husbandry, can take advantage of this scheme. Under the new Cattle Health Card Scheme, farmers will be given the benefit of many facilities for the protection of animal health. In this Health Card Scheme, vaccination and the de-worming program will be conducted 2 times in a year across the state. In addition, the government will also compensate for the loss of cattle.

Information in AP Animal Health Cards
The following information will be made available under AP Animal Health Cards.
- Aadhaar card number
- Residential address
- Phone number
- Name of the farmer / livestock owner
- Details of the cows, buffaloes, sheep, and goat which are owned by the farmer
Through this card, farmers will be able to get compensation through health card in the event of animal’s death. Cattle Health Card distribution will start from May 30 at Rythu Bharosa centers.
Key Facts of AP Cattle Health Card Scheme
Under this scheme, the Government of Andhra Pradesh will provide health cards to all the livestock in the state under the AP Cattle Health Scheme. About 25 lakh such families have been identified through livestock census conducted in FY 2019. All the selected farmer brothers can apply in the Andhra Pradesh Cattle Health Card Scheme through 11,158 Rythu Bharosa Centers. Along with this, you can also download your Cattle Health Card. Implementation of Cattle Health Card Scheme
The Andhra Pradesh government will make available the Cattle Health Card to the identified right families by the end of the year. After receiving the Cattle Health Card, the farmers must mention some details related to the breed from their animals. Here we are providing you some details.

The main purpose of collecting details of all this information about the animal by the farmer is to collect data regarding the treatment of the animal. If the animal is brought back for treatment, then the doctor will have his previous medical records available which will help the doctor to treat the animal in a better way.
All information related to the history of animal vaccination, infection and diseases will be available in the Cattle Health Card issued by the Andhra Pradesh government. Apart from this, the information will also be given about the primary treatment to be done in case of sickness of the animal. The state government will also issue health cards to orphaned animals living in orphanages as per special provisions. Under certain circumstances, the government will allow the extension of services for livestock. If a person asks to adopt an orphaned animal, then that person will be given the freedom to register for that animal under the Cattle Health Card Scheme.
