The Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana (MMLSAY) is a health insurance scheme for government employees of Assam Government. With this Scheme the existing reimbursement scheme for state government employees will be replaced with the new one. The Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma launched Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana Online IT Portal for Medical Reimbursement of Government Employees and pensioners in August with Keshab Mahanta, the minister of Medical Education & Research Information Technology. It is an online medical bill reimbursement scheme started by Govt of Assam.

What is Mukhyamantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana?
Mukhyamantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana is a health insurance scheme launched on July 19, 2023 by the state government for the government employees of Assam. Under this scheme, the Government employees will get the reimbursement as per CGHS approved rate. This program offers medical coverage of up to Rs. 5 Lakh. Although, this initiative resembles the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, but it exclusively caters to State Government workers. The primary aim of this scheme is to provide financial health protection of up to Rs. 5 Lakh per family each year to the eligible participants.

The objectives of the Arogya Yojana Scheme are as follows:

- The benefits under this scheme will be provided to the Government Employees, Pensioners and their dependents.
- Medical treatment without paying any cash with insurance of Rs 5 Lakh will be provided to the beneficiary.
- The government will provide 5 Lakh per year for health insurance to not just currently working government employees but to all the retirees in the state.
- Mukhyamantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana will replace the current reimbursement system of the state government.
- The payment will be made within the pre-determined time frame of 90 days.
- Online requests for advance payments are accepted from recipients.

- To get registered under the Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana scheme, the eligible candidates can follow the below mentioned steps:

- Select employment type either Employee or Pensioner.
