Telangana Nethanna Bima Scheme
The Government of Telangana has announced the Nethanna Ku Bima scheme on 7th August 2022, in order to provide benefits to all the Handloom Weavers. With the implementation of this scheme the government will pays the insurance premium, if the individuals insured by us dies of illness or accident during the insurance. The insurance pays up to Rs 5 lakhs to the individuals or family. Some insurance plans take a long time to send money to the beneficiary. But under this plan, it only takes 10 days after the death of the beneficiary for the individuals to get the 5 lakh Rupees, and the handloom and textile department of this scheme will handle all the things which needs to be done. The Telangana Government has set the target of 50 crore rupees of this scheme, and half of this amount like 25 crore has already distributed.

Objectives of Nethanna Bima Scheme
The main aim of this scheme is to provide benefits to all the handloom weavers, and also ensure them, and also improve insurance coverage of the individuals. This scheme will change the lifes of the individuals of Telangana, and the Government has already decided to spend 1200 crore from 2016 every year to the textile industries of handloom.
Benefits of Telangana NethannaBima Scheme
All Weavers in the age between 18 to 59 are insured under this insurance plan known as the Weber Plan. Under the terms of this plan, the sum of 5,00,000 will be distributed retrospectively to the weaver’s family or an agent of their choice. The money from the insurance policy is deposited ten days after the person’s death. For this plan to be successful, committees at the state and district levels will participate and contribute.

- To be eligible to participate in the Nethanna Bima program, the applicant must be aware of and meet the following requirements:
- Candidate should be the permanent residence of Telangana so then they can apply for the scheme.
- If the applicant is from another state, then they cannot enrol themselves in this scheme.
- All the candidates should have a experience as a participant in the Rythu Bima insurance scheme.
- Only adult weavers between the ages of 18 and 59,are eligible to apply to this program.
