National Scholarship Portal has been launched by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. It is a digital platform that accepts applications for various scholarships of UGC (University Grant Commission) and AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education). The National Scholarship Portal also known as (NSP) is a one-stop scholarship portal through which SC / ST / OBC / minority students can apply for various scholarships. The National Scholarship Portal, also known as NSP, is a portal launched as a mission mode project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGp). This portal provides a platform to apply for scholarship schemes of Central and State Governments and scholarships started by various government agencies. This portal continues to be the leading portal for scholarship applications across the country. There are more than 125 lakh scholarship applications on the portal, out of which 105 lakh applications have been accepted. The portal remains the first choice of scholarship application for students through effective and speedy disposal of scholarships, smart, simple, mission-oriented responsive and transparent system.

National Scholarship Portal Last Date Extended

The government offers scholarships to all eligible students to encourage education. This scholarship is awarded by the government every year. The last date to apply for the scholarship under the year 2023 has been extended by the government. The state’s director of higher education has issued a notification to all schools, colleges, universities. In this notification, he has asked all educational institutions to ensure that all eligible students apply for the scholarship before the last date. All school students for Level 1.1 and Level 1.2 can apply for the scholarship by 31 December 2020. The last date for verification of the first phase is 31 January 2021 and the last date for verification of the second phase is 28 February 2021. All minority students who wish to apply for a scholarship based on pre-matriculation, post matriculation, and merit must apply before 31 December 2020.

UGC Scholarship Application Last Date Increase

The UGC has extended the online application process deadline for scholarships. All students who have not yet applied or renewed may be able to do so. Eligibility Criteria for Ishan Uday Special Scholarship

  • The applicant should belong to the residents of north-eastern states including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland (only for the Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme).
  • Applicant family should have a single girl child (twin daughters can also apply) (only PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for each girl child)
  • If the applicant is under 30 years of age, he can apply for the scholarship.
  • To apply under Ishan Uday Special Scholarship, the family income of the applicant is required to be less than 4.5 lakhs.
  • Applicant must have taken admission in the first year of any degree course (Ishaan Uday Scholarship). The applicant must have taken admission in the first year of the regular master’s degree program (PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship).

  • Applicant should be rank holder in their graduate examination (for PG scholarship for university rank holders)

Procedure To Fill Institute’s Registration Form

  • First of all, you have to go to the official website of the national scholarship portal. After this, the homepage of the website will open in front of you.
  • On the homepage of the website, click on the option Institute login. After this, a login form will open in front of you.
  • Fill all the details in the form like an academic year, user ID, and password.
  • Enter the captcha code carefully and click on login into the NSP profile.
  • A new dialogue box will appear on your screen. On this dialogue box click on the ok button.
  • If you are new on the site then firstly you need to register on it, so go to the registration option to register. A new form will open on your computer screen.
  • First, you need to upload identity proof of the institute’s Nodal officer by clicking on the choose file option and then select the image.
  • After that, click on the upload identity proof option. Fill the form with all the required details like AISHE/DISE/NCVT code, Name of Institute, Do you want to change the name as per AISHE/DISE directory in NSP, Institute nature, Affiliated board/university name, Total student strength in the institute, Institute address, Institute state, District, URL of the institute’s website, Head of institution detail, Details of designated Institute Nodal officer for NSP.
  • An OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number, fill the OTP in the OTP box.
  • After filling in all the details check it once again and click on the Save button to save your information and then press the submit button.
  • A reference ID will be generated on your screen note it down for future reference.
  • Take a print out of the form and submit it to the district Nodal officer. The form should be duly signed and stamped.

Procedure to Update Profile of The Institute

After the registration form is approved by the District Nodal Officer, the new password is sent to the registered mobile number of the Nodal Officer of the Institute. To make the profile functional, the Institute Nodal Officer has to login with a new password and follow the steps given below:

  • First of all, you have to go to the official website of the national scholarship portal. After this, the homepage of the website will open in front of you.
  • On the homepage of the website, click on the option Institute login. After this, a login form will open in front of you.
  • Fill all the details in the form like an academic year, user ID, and password.
  • Enter the captcha code carefully and click on login into the NSG profile.
  • An OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number send to the institute Nodal officer’s, the OTP in the OTP box, and click on confirm OTP.
  • A new form to reset the password will open on your screen. Reset your Password and Click on the submit Option.
  • Now, click on the Continue to the login button.
  • To update the profile the institute Nodal officer needs to click on the administration after that click on update profile.
  • An OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number, enter the OTP in the OTP box.
  • A new form will open in front of you where you can update any previously entered information.
  • After updating the details click on the submit button and a message stating your profile has been updated successfully will be shown on your screen.

Procedure to Remove DISE/AISHE/NCVT Code

  • First of all, you have to go to the official website of the national scholarship portal. After this, the homepage of the website will open in front of you.
  • On the homepage of the website, – Login as District / State Nodal Officer. After this, a new page will open in front of you.
  • Here on this page click on the “Remove DISE/AISHE/NCVT code from an institute’ option.
  • An OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number, enter the OTP in the OTP box and click on confirm OTP.
  • A new page will open on your screen, Enter the AISHE / DISE / NCVT / SCVT Code and click on search tab.
  • The institute’s details will be shown on screen, press the remove button to de-link or remove the code from institute’s profile.
  • Confirmation message information will be sanded to your mobile after successful removal.
