The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy,introduced the YSR EBC Nestham Scheme. Through this scheme,women from the upper class who are economically disadvantaged and are between the ages of 45 and 60 would receive financial help in the amount of Rs 45,000.This financial aid will be given in three stages.The government has paid the first installment of the scheme totaling Rs.15000 or Rs.589 crore into the bank accounts of 4 lakh impoverished women who are members of the reddy, Kamma, Arya,Vysya,brahmin,Kshatriya,Velma and other OC groups in the state.The scheme will empower upper class women who are economically disadvantaged.Through this scheme 3,92,674 women of state will receive benefits.
