The Swayam program has been initiated by the Government of India in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and NPTEL. This program is providing better education opportunities to the youth across the country. IIT Madras, Google Inc and Persistent Systems Ltd have been the pioneers in the implementation of this program. Courses are provided free of charge for permanent residents residing in India under this program. Under this program, 80000 hours of learning material is available in more than 2000 courses. Here you can get tuition in undergraduate, postgraduate, engineering, law and other professional courses through various courses.
Swayam Registration and Course Fees
There is no registration fee required by the learner to register on the portal, also all the courses offered under the portal are free of charge. But after completion of the courses if you want to get a certificate, then you will have to pay a fixed amount of fee. Only the registered Candidates on the Swayamvar portal can get the certificate and the certificate will be given only to those students who are registered on the portal and have paid the fees.
Objective of Swayam Portal

Swayam Test Certificate
Candidates can do any of the courses of their choice through the Swayam Portal. The candidate needs to appear in the examination, after completing the course. The examination will be evaluated by the host institution and the principal supervisor. This assessment will be done after reaching the candidate’s performance in the examination, assignment, etc. After that, the candidates will be awarded marks. The result will be declared after four weeks of the exam. After the declaration of the result, the candidate will be issued a certificate.
