Assam Amrit Brikshya Andolan Registration 2024
The Chief Minister of Assam, Shri Hemanta Biswa Sharma, announced on June 8, 2024, that approximately 1 crore seedlings will be planted across the state on September 17, 2024, from 8 AM to 11 AM. These seedlings, classified as commercial trees, will be planted by various groups, including Self Help Groups, ASHA workers, educational institutions, Village Defence Parties, Anganwadi workers, tea garden employees, and individual participants.
To support this initiative, a financial assistance of ₹100 will be provided through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) right after the seedlings are planted and images are uploaded on the designated portal app. Additionally, in the third year, the state government will offer ₹200 to ensure the survival and growth of the planted saplings.
