The Government of Karnataka has recently announced the latest scheme named Karnataka Ganga Kalyana Yojana, in order to provide irrigation facilities in all over Karnataka, the scheme is called Karnataka Ganga Kalyana Scheme. they will drill bore wills and installed pumps sets and the accessories on the agriculture lands. The Government has announced upto 1.50 to 3 lakh for this project, this amount is only for pump supply and borewill drilling and on the other hand upto Rs.50,000 for electrification deposit, and there will be a subsidy for the Bangalore urban, Bengaluru rural, chikkaballapur,Ramanagara Kolar and Tumkur upto 3.5 lakh will be provided this districts, and for other districts the subsidy of rupees 2 lakh will be provided, and these benefits will only be provided for those farmers who have their lands near river.

The government will provide farmers with proper irrigation facilities by using perennial water sources or pumping water through pipes. Only those farmers who belong to minority communities and are small or marginal farmers can benefit from this scheme. The unit cost of 4 lacs is fixed for up to 8 acres of land and Rs 6 lacs for 15 acres of land. The total cost under the scheme is treated as a grant. If perennial water sources are notavailable, then the company will give loans to the people to build wells that will be drilled at the water points. The corporation will bear the total cost of 1.5 lakh for the construction of an artesian well for the purpose of promoting agricultural activities.

- A subsidy of Rs 3.5 lakh will be given to Bangalore, Bangalore, Ramanagara Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Tumkur districts.
